What’s In A Keyword?
What are keywords
NicheBOT and The Keyword Jackpot
How to Pick Winning Keywords Every Single Time.? this was a question I found myself having to provide an answer for to a successfully business person recently.
On hearing the question it dawned on me that as a webmaster the meaning of the term keywords was simple enough, but here was a person who was in charge of projects costing millions of Dollars, who used the internet every day and yet did not have understanding of keywords in relation to the Internet.
I began to answer the question by explaining in simplistic terms that keywords are terms used by internet surfers searching for information about a particular subject, for example, I could go to Google’s website and type in the word “fishing” and I would be presented with a page of results known to Google, in this case about 146,000,000 for “fishing”. On the same page I would be presented with links to what Google(tm) consider as the top websites with contents about “fishing”, also on the page will be a number of adverts all related to “fishing” in some way.
In reality keywords have become an entire industry by itself. Comscore.com reported in 2004 that “83% of people who made an online purchase began with a keyword search”. The ability to know the keywords Internet users are using have created many commercial opportunities. Google(tm) is a market leader in keyword marketing has become one of the richest company and most recognised name in the world in a very short period of time, there are thousands of companies world-wide providing keyword related services and products, there are millions of websites, books, videos etc. offering software, advice, tutorials, training, etc. on keyword research
NicheBOT and The Keyword Jackpot
How to Pick Winning Keywords Every Single Time., keyword marketing, keyword linking and all manner of subjects related to keyword.
In order for webmasters and websites owners to get significant free traffic it is vital they know and understand the keywords being used by Internet users looking for particular information, after all, 1 million users may use “fishing” as their keyword but 4 million others may use “sea fishing” or 2 million other could use “fly fishing” when they are all basically looking for the same information, product or service. Webmaster and website owners need to know the different keywords being used in order to attract visitors to their websites and this is where detailed keyword research is vital, so how do you carry out keyword research.
Keyword Research
Keyword Research is a fascinating subject, in my opinion, because there is always the hope that someday your research will turn up a totally untapped niche and bingo you’ve found your pot-of-gold, but for the most part it will show you how many surfers are using the term “no keyword” or “enter keyword” and how many websites are competing for those keywords. Detailed keyword research should tell you a lot of vital information about the search pattern of your intended audience, you should be able to see how many times a day “enter your keywords” and “keywords all” are being used and see what the competition is like for the key phrase “enter keywords 4 letter minimum” it should also tell you if “any extra keywords” and it should give you a list of the top 10 websites for the term “your master site keywords” or which pages are better optimized for the key phrase “keywords here”
Now there are many good keyword research services to be found on the Internet, such as KeywordDiscovery, WordTracker, Overture Keyword Tool, but my favourite and what I consider to be the best in terms of;
- quality of the information
- quantity of the information
- customer support
- price
- Training Resources
is NicheBot. I have been using NicheBot’s online keyword service over 3 years and seen the service they provide go from strength to strength. Over the years I have tried other online keyword services and offline keyword software tools but NicheBot is the most cost effective and most comprehensive of the lot and here’s why;
Most online keyword services, at best, allows you to do research using one or two databases (e.g. WordTracker, Overture), NicheBot allows you to used databases of WordTracker, Overture, Google, Keyword Discovery and allow you to do Quick Digging for top 50 searches or Deep Digging for up to 10,000 related terms.
For me the real appeal is the ability to view the information in several ways, such as charts showing monthly trends for your keyword, you can sort, merge, copy, filter and export data, you can get pay-per-click information and you can store it all in keyword baskets on their servers.
But a remarkable fact is they provide all this service for a low 33cents a day, now bear in mind that you get full access to KeywordDiscovery database (Access 32 billion+ keywords) which is usually $67/month, WordTracker database at $59/month and you can also perform search for Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) which would cost $197/month membership at another website and you can see what an incredible bargain this is. Another point to note is that in NicheBot you purchase credits to use the service you don’t have to purchase credits every month any unused credits lasts indefinitely.
Right Now you can get to try the entire NicheBot service for 14 days for just $1, you will be able to do keyword research, view training videos, download eBooks the lot.
